Theory that the Bible is man-made

If an all-knowing being had written the bible, I think it would have done a much better job.

Which of these theories sounds more likely.

Theory A: The writings in the bible were written by men without any supernatural help. They reflected the beliefs, superstitions, and knowledge of men of the time.

Theory B: The writing in the bible came from an all-knowing all-powerful super being who cares deeply about whether people believe in him and worship him.

Personally, the bible doesn't strike me as the work of an all-knowing being. It has some passages that are well written, but frankly most of it is not. If this message is so important why couldn't a god do a decent job explaining it. I should be impressed by it instead of thinking I could have written this thing better.
